From truck steering to day-to-day management
Managers Rudy Verstraelen and Heidi Beckers know exactly what international transport to France entails. Both spent many years behind the wheel, driving trucks for international transport. With RH Trans, they built their own transport company from the ground up. Together, Rudy and Heidi manage the business and oversee day-to-day operations and planning.
Investing in their own truck
For many years, Rudy and Heidi drove separately as employees for different transport companies. In 2011, they made the decision to buy their own truck and drive together as a couple.
One truck quickly became two, then three, and eventually four. In just a decade, RH Trans has grown into a well-structured transport company with over ten trucks of its own, offering punctual transport services and consolidated shipments to France.
Located in Brecht, in the Antwerp North Kempen region, the company also boasts 3,000 m² of warehouse space for transshipment and storage.
Close cooperation with sister company Taerwe
Since early 2024, Rudy and Heidi have also become the proud owners of Taerwe, a company that has specialised in international wine transport to Belgium for many decades.
After the acquisition, Taerwe relocated from Sint-Pieters-Leeuw to the RH Trans site in Brecht, where it now benefits from significantly more storage capacity.
A perfectly complementary partnership
RH Trans has been handling wine transport from France on behalf of Taerwe for several years. This partnership complements RH Trans' own transport routes to France, minimising the need for empty return trips.
Taerwe's Belgian distribution network for delivering wine pallets and RH Trans’ collection network for palletised goods work in perfect harmony.
